Alabama now permits Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSWs), Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs), and Licensed Bachelor Social Workers (LBSWs) to provide supervision.   1. LICSW Supervisors

    • Must have two years of post-licensure experience
    • May supervise clinical experience toward LICSW license

  2. LMSW Supervisors

    • Must have three years of post-licensure experience
    • May supervise a LBSW’s and LMSW’s non-clinical experience towards the LMSW, or

    • Must have five years of post-licensure experience
    • May supervise a LBSW’s experience
